This activity is used to entitle an employee to a flexible work start. A flexible work start means that the employee's first clocking-in of the day will be used as the starting point for the working day. The scheduled normal hours and breaks will then set the out-time for the employee to leave, without withdrawal.
To have any relevance, the employee should be using clocking based time and attendance.
The information is used by the Time and Attendance calculation program. The working hours definition found in the schedule (the day type) is adjusted by the calculation program. The first clocking-in replaces the first scheduled normal start time. The following day type intervals are then adjusted accordingly and the calculation is processed as normal.
Select the employee, and select the Flexible Work Time check box.
