Create Consists of and Belongs to Design Part Structure
Explanation
This activity is used to define the parts that a design parts consists of,
also known as the design part bill of materials, and
to define the design part to which parts belong. Consists of Design Parts
register the design parts of which another design part is made up of, e.g., a
pump consists of bearings, impellers and a shell. Belongs to Design Parts
register one or more design parts or their versions where the selected design
part could be a part of, e.g., a single bearing belongs to pumps, compressors and
rollers. Consists of design part structures can be inherited as additional parts
for a design object along with their purchase and spare part quantities, if a
valid connection is established between the top design part and the design
object.
Prerequisites
	- You should define the Can Consist of class relation for the design part class for which
consists of parts are being defined.
- Similarly you should define the Can Belongs to Class Relation for the
design part class for which belongs to parts are being defined.
System Effects
	- A design part structure which consists of and belongs to design parts is created.

- Purchase and spare part quantities are registered.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to define consists of parts for a design part:
	- Open the Design Part Consists of Parts window and click New. Alternatively open the
	Design
Part window, query for the design part for which you want to add
consists of parts, click New, and proceed to step 4.
- In the Standard field, enter the standard for the design parts
which will be defined. Use the List of Values to select a suitable standard.
The standard of the default plant if defined in the
	User Settings
	dialog box,
	will be displayed by default.
- In the Design Part field, enter the identity of the design
part that consists of design part children. If accessed within a top design
part navigational structure, this field will have the value of the identity
of the top design part in that structure. At new entry, enter a design part
ID or use the List of Values to select a design part.
- In the Sort Order field, enter the order by which to sort
the parts belonging to a design part, on this window.
- In the Consists of Design Part ID field, enter
the identity of the design part child that belongs to the design part in the
Design Part field. At new entry, enter a design part ID or use
the List of Values to select a design part.
- In the Quantity field, enter the number of spare parts of which
this design part consists. The default value is 1.
- In the Purchase Quantity field, enter the number of design
parts that are to be purchased or the amount of design parts that are
documented for equipment assembly purposes. The default value is 1.
- Click Save.
Use the following procedure to define parts that belong to a design part:
	- Open the Design Part Belongs to Parts window.
- Click New.
- In the Standard field, enter the standard for the design parts
which will be defined. Use the List of Values to select a suitable standard.
The standard of the default plant if defined in the
	User Settings
	dialog box,
	will be displayed by default.
- In the Design Part ID field, enter the identity of the design
part child that belongs to the design part to be entered in the Belongs
To Design Part ID field. Use the List of Values to select
	a design part.
- In the Sort Order field, enter the order by which to sort
the parts belonging to a design part, on this window.
- In the Belongs to Design Part ID field, enter the
identity of the design part child to which the child design parts defined in
the Design Part field, belongs. At new entry, enter a design
part ID or use the List of Values to select a design part.
