Publish Benefit Plan

Explanation

Use this function to make benefit plans available to the employee self-service web pages. A benefit plan must be set in the Published state in order to be visible in the self-service pages. The state is controlled by the plan administrator. It is set for each plan option individually.

All together, the following states are available:

• Preliminary, set automatically when a new benefit plan option is entered. A cancelled approved or published benefit option will be set back to the preliminary state. 
• Approved, to be set manually by the plan administrator. This state means that the plan option is ready to be published. I.e., all data is complete.
• Published, to be set manually by the plan administrator. When in state Published, the plan option is visible in the self-service web pages.

System Effects

Plan options in state Preliminary or Approved are visible only in the plan administrator window. Plan options in state Published can be requested by the employees.
