Define Support Type

Explanation

This activity is used to define a support type. Support types are used to categorize the different types of support agreements. You can enter a default support type to be used as the support type of a support agreement, if a particular support type is not being specified.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, you can define support types for each support agreement. When cases are created for customers with support agreements, the support type will be used, and it can be referred to when handling a case.

Procedure

  1. Open the Support Agreement Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Support Type tab.
  3. Select a row on the lower table and double-click to create a new record. (F5)
  4. Enter a value in the Support Type field.
  5. Optionally, 
    Enter a description for the support type in the Description field.
    Select the row, right-click and then click Set/Unset Default to specify the support type as the default.
    Enter a value in the LOV Order field to specify the order in which the support type should appear in a List of Values.
    Enter a value in the Note field.
  6. Save the record. (F12)
