Perform MCC

Explanation

This activity is used to perform the mechanical completion and commissioning, which includes testing and checking the equipment as defined by the MC check record specification. This is done to confirm that prefabrication and installation is in accordance with drawings and specifications and ready for commissioning in a safe manner and in compliance with government, environment and project requirements. 

This activity is performed outside IFS/Asset Design by suppliers, prefabrication and installation teams and answered with status codes. Typical examples of check record status codes and what they stand for are:

• Status NA - The check record is not applicable for the item.
• Status OK - The check record has been completed and no further work is associated with it.
• Status PA - The check record has not been completed and the remaining work that exists is of category A. i.e. it will be completed prior to commissioning.
• Status PB - The check record has not been completed and the remaining work that exists if of category B. i.e. it may be completed prior or after commissioning.

Note: Incomplete work, with status codes PA and PB, can be documented and created as a punch item.
