Add Sales Lines Manually

Explanation

This activity is used to manually add sales lines instead of generating them, which is the normal procedure. You can create sales lines manually for any of the service types included in the work scope. This could be useful in situations where it is necessary to charge the customer for costs that are not covered by the service type’s sales price, and where the costs must be specified separately. Another example is when extra work occurs, for instance if a repair part is extremely heavy and ungainly to move, and the costs cannot be directly connected with the performed work scope.

You can only add sales lines based on the service types defined for the component repair order line.

As a result of this activity, a new sales line in Invoiceable status is created for a component repair order line.

Procedure

  1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component repair order.
  2. Click the CRO Lines tab, and then click the Sales Lines sub tab.
  3. Create a new record.
  4. Select a cost category from the list.
  5. Specify a service type, either by entering the short code or by using the List of Values.
  6. Update the sales line price if necessary.
  7. Save.
