Cancel Component Repair Order

Explanation

This activity is used to discontinue the planned repair on the component repair order line.

This could for example be when additional faults, which require a service where a specific kind of certificate must be present, are detected on the repair part. When you present this to the customer, the customer decides to scrap the repair part instead of sending it for external repair.

To just cancel a component repair order line, right-click the line and then click Cancel. No actions can be taken for a canceled line and the line cannot be reopened.

It is also possible to cancel the entire component repair order. No actions can be taken for a canceled order and the order cannot be reopened.

Prerequisites

To cancel a specific component repair order line:

• A component repair order line must have been entered and saved.
• The component repair order line must be in New status.

To cancel an entire component repair order:

• A component repair order must have been entered and saved.
• All component repair order lines must be in status New or Canceled.

System Effects

• The status for the component repair order lines is changed to Canceled and no further transactions can be performed for any lines.
• The status for the component repair order is changed to Canceled and no further transactions can be performed.

Procedure

Cancel a component repair order line:

1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for the order.
2. Click the CRO Lines  tab.
3. Right-click the line and then click Cancel.

Cancel an entire component repair order:

1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for the order.
2. Right-click in the header and then click Cancel.
