Remove Service Types from Component Repair Order Line

Explanation

This activity is used to remove service types from a component repair order line. You can remove service types as long as the component repair order line is not released to repair.

If the component repair order line already has been released to repair, you can do the following:

• For a service type with the invoice types Fixed Price, Free of Charge, Invoice Plan, or Service Price, you can change the sales line status to Not Invoiceable.
• For a service type with the invoice type Resources Used, all objects that create transactions related to any of the cost categories should be revised to an allowed service type. Another option is to wait until the calculation of cost lines is performed, and then revise all cost lines that are based on an un-allowable service type to an allowed service type. The result will be that the un-allowable service type is excluded from the invoice. The reason is that the sales lines are now based on the service type’s cost lines.

Prerequisites

• A component repair order line not yet released for repair.
• Service types must have been recorded for the component repair order line.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a service type recorded for a component repair order line is removed.

Procedure

1. Open the Component Repair Order window and search for an existing component repair order.
2. Click the CRO Lines tab.
3. Select the component repair order line.
4. Click the Service Type tab.
5. Select a line and remove the service type.
6. Save.
