Enter Default Object Access Levels
Explanation
This activity is used to enter the default access
levels for object types for specific document classes. The default object access
level can also be specified for all document classes.
Prerequisites
- The object types to be
entered in this tab should be document-aware.
- The classes should be entered in the
Document Basic/Document Classes tab.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the specified access
levels are given to documents that are connected to objects belonging to these object
types. This will be activated only if these object types are defined in the Document Basic/Object
Types for Access Control tab.

Procedure
- Open the
Document Basic window and
click the Default Object Access Levels tab.
- Enter a value in the Document Class field.
Use the List of Values to select a suitable value. Enter * to apply access
level to all classes.
- Enter a value in the Object Type field. Use
the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Select the Admin Access and/or Edit
Access and/or View Access check box(es) as required.
- Save the record (F12).
