Recalculate Cost Using Interim Order

Explanation

Use this activity when you want to recalculate the costs for a configured part on a customer order line or sales quotation line. If you changed the configuration on the line after that the interim order was created, you must recalculate the cost. This will reevaluates the interim structure.

Prerequisites

The interim order for the current configuration must have been created. If there are any changes required that you want to be included in the calculation, these must have been done to the interim order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the cost on the customer order line or sales quotation line is revised according to the information in the interim order.

Procedure

1. Open the Customer Order or Sales Quotation window.
2. Click the Order Lines tab or the Quotation Lines tab, depending on whether you start from a customer order or a sales quotation.
3. If the configured part is in a package structure, right-click and then click Package Structure.
4. Select the line of the desired part, right-click and click Configuration/Interim Order/Recalculate Cost.
5. At the prompt, click OK. The cost for the configured part on the line is recalculated.
