Use this activity to refresh information on the available components in the current installation that supports the Create/Modify Company process.
Normally each component in IFS Applications that supports this process will automatically register itself in IFS/Enterprise during a fresh installation or upgrade. All these components will be available immediately after the installation/upgrade by populating one of the Create Company Registration windows in Enterprise/Company/Component Management.
However, if the installation is a mix of IFS Application baselines, then some components
may not support the registration in IFS/Enterprise and more specifically, the handling of Company
Templates. These components may, however, still support the Create/Update Company
process according to the principles valid for the 2001-3 baseline or
earlier.
The Create Company Registration is built to also support the described installation
mix. By performing Refresh in one of the Create Company Registration forms in
Enterprise/Company/Component
Management
folder, all components that support the named process will be found and automatically
registered (if not already existing) and all components will also be displayed.
An installation or upgrade of IFS Applications must have been made to a version where IFS/Enterprise supports registration of Create Company related components, as well as handling of Company Templates.
During the Refresh activity, the database will be scanned for the public method Create_Company and all components found will be registered in the database as valid Create Company components that do not support Company Templates, if they do not already exist.
