Update Company Translation

Explanation

Use this activity to add or update translations in an existing company.
When creating a company, you can select languages from the source company or template and those languages will be used when creating translations for the new company.

This activity can be used for the following scenarios:

Generally speaking, the following rules apply:

If the current company has no reference to a source company or source template then you must select a company template as the update source. By default, the default company template is selected but it is possible to use any active company template as the update source.

Prerequisites

The current company must contain translatable attributes that also exist in the translation framework for the source company or template.

Update Company Translation

Procedure

  1. Select the company you want to update in the Company window in IFS/Enterprise.
  2. Right-click and then click Update Company Translation.
  3. If the current company has no reference to a source company or template, then you must select a source company template.
    Click List for the templates that are available.
    Click Populate to retrieve the available languages for the source company or template.
  4. Select languages from the Available Languages in Source list.
  5. Click OK to start the update .
