Use this activity to copy the installation text/translation to the current text/translation, thus updating the current text/translation on a translation line.
During a fresh installation or upgrade, each component will define basic data translations in one or more languages. If the translation does not exist, then a new translation will be defined with the installation text/translation equal to the (current) text/translation. If the translation already exists then the following will happen:
This means that if the end-user has modified an installed translation, or manually added a new one, then this translation will never be modified during the installation/upgrade phase.
If it is required to set the current text/translation to the installation text/translation follow the procedure below. The choice is enabled if the current text/translation differs from the installation text/translation and the installation text/translation is not empty.
Several translation lines can be updated at the same time.
An updated translation will always be marked as System Defined.
Basic Data Translations must be available.
The basic data translation will change its value meaning that descriptions in basic data windows as well as in Lists of Values will present a new text.
