Information sources are a combination of facts and dimensions which are structured and holds information about a specific transaction table in IFS Applications. Currently the information sources based on IFS/Human Resources listed below can be used when creating IFS Business Analytics reports or cubes. An overview of each information source which is mainly based on IFS Human Resources is given below:
The purpose of the Project Transaction information source is to retrieve information from the project reporting related transactions to enable reporting and analysis, from for instance IFS/Business Analytics.

The purpose of the Time Registration information source is to make available the information about presence time reporting and absence reporting within a selected period of analysis in BI. The information source will be a summary of the time registration results. When you create the report in Business analytics using that information source in the Data Mart mode, access to the time registration balance will be much faster since the data will be already accumulated for the periods of analysis. Another reason for using summary data source is to enable analysis combined with the Absence Period information source. Also, it will provide information about the number of scheduled working hours in addition to the registered time.
