Designing a Basic Pivot in Financials

Creating the Basic Design

  1. Click  Pivot.
  2. Select the GL Balance information source from the Select Information Sources dialog box.
  3. Drag the display items Account, Account Type, Description and Balance Amount to the Select Display Items pane. You can also double click on each of the display items in order to display them in the Select Display Items pane.
  4. Select the Filter Criteria tab.
  5. Drag Company into the Display Item area.
  6. Click Op and select the operator (=) equals from the Select Operator dialog box.
  7. Click LoV and select a company from the List of Values dialog box.
  8. Drag and drop the items from the Pivot Table Field List to the pivot table.
  9. Click Execute.

Creating the Basic Design using multiple data source criteria

  1. Click Select Information Sources.
  2. Select Budget Template Transactions from the Select Information Sources dialog box.
  3. Click Pivot.
  4. Drag the display items Account, Account Type, Description and Balance Amount from GL Balance information source and Currency Amount from Budget Template Transaction information source to Selected Display Items pane. You can also double click on each of the display items in order to display them in the Selected Display Items pane.
  5. Select the relevant information sources from Pivot. In this instance, select Budget Template Transactions.
  6. Click Execute.
