Usage

Use this assistant to create a new revision for your document. The assistant consists of three steps. 

In Step 1, you enter the new revision number and revision text, and specify the information to copy from the old revision to the new revision. You can also specify if the new revision's electronic file can be updated during the approval process. The Next and Finish buttons become accessible after you have entered the new revision number and revision text.

In Step 2, you determine which of the connected objects of the old revision connected objects (if any) will be connected to the new revision. If the number of connected objects is greater than the number defined for the LMT_OBJ_CON_SHOW_WIZARD default value, you can select whether the default configuration should be used or whether all or none of the object connections should be moved.

Step 3 appears only if the old document revision is part of a structure document. Parent documents to the old document revision are displayed in a table. You can connect the new revision to those parents, thus replacing the old revision in the structure. However, parent documents must have the Preliminary status for this replacement to be allowed. Parent documents of structures in Approved or Released status cannot be changed.
