Assistant Configuration Steps- New Employee Configurator

Explanation

This activity is used to define configurations for the New Employee wizard which is used for entering new employees. When you define a configuration, you can specify the steps that should be available in the wizard as well the order in which the steps should be available. The first five steps are mandatory for all configurations. More steps can be added to the configuration based on the purpose for which the wizard configuration will be used.

E.g. 1: If you frequently recruit new employees belonging to different categories, one such category only requires the basic employee information to be entered when employment is created. You can have a wizard configuration with only the mandatory steps when you recruit employees for this category.
E.g. 2: If you are recruiting employees belonging to a category for which the salary information and work hour schedule information should also be entered when employment is created, you can define a wizard configuration with additional steps Enter Salary Information and Enter Schedule Information.

The mandatory wizard steps;

  5. Enter Employment Related Data

  1. Enter Location and Access Information
  2. Enter Home and Contact Information

  6. Enter Salary Information
  7. Enter Schedule Information
  8. Enter Shop Floor Information

Procedure

  1. Open the Wizard Configurations window.
  2. Specify the company for which you want to create a configuration set-up in the Company ID field. The companies to which the user has access will be available in the list.
  3. Click on Configuration ID field and create a new record. Enter an ID and configuration description in the respective fields.
  4. Select the Default check box if this configuration should be the default configuration in the company.
  5. Save the information. As a result, in the table of the window the five mandatory steps of the wizard will be listed in the correct order.
  6. Create new records in the table and enter more configuration steps. The available wizard steps are system defined. You can select the appropriate wizard step by using the list.
  7. Save the information.

    Note: Some of the wizard steps are dependant on the data entered in previous steps. The Depends on Step field indicates the previous step on which the current step is dependant. The steps which are dependant on one another are also grouped. The group number of each wizard step is indicated in the Group field.
