Register Status Values for Performance

Explanation

This activity is used to register status values for employee objectives and activities. E.g.  Status in the appraisal process helps in organizing employee's performance development by showing when the activities are complete, when the performance review can take place and when the appraisal process has ended etc.

Procedure

  1. Open the Objectives and Activities Status window.
  2. Create a record to specify a new status value.
  3. Specify the name of the status in the Status field.
  4. In the Sequence field, enter a sequence value. The sequence determines the order in which status changes can be done.
  5. Select the Final Status check box if you want to make the created status final in the process. The final status is also considered for the calculation of performance summary.
  6. Select the Restrict Access check box if you want to restrict access to some employee objectives and/or activities with this status. This will only apply to information listed in the Employee Access to Objectives and Activities Fields window.
  7. In the Available In field, you can decide if the status applies to the employee activities or objectives only. You can also select Both if it applies to activities as well as objectives.
  8. Select the Exclude from Final Result check box if you want the objective or activity to be excluded from the final result.
  9. Save the information.
