Save Result to Database
Explanation
This activity is used to save the scheduling results to the database.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, the scheduling client must have been started and
work orders and/or work order operations must have been manually rescheduled
using drag-and-drop in the scheduling Gantt chart.
System Effects
As a result of the database save, the following updates will take place:
- All the work order operations will be updated with new planned start and
end dates.
- Planned start and end dates will be updated on the tools and facilities
lines for the operations.
- The material requisition lines required for an operation will be updated
with the planned start date of the operation.
- The planned start date on the work orders will be updated with the
planned start date of the first operation on the work order.
- The planned completion date on the work order will be updated with with
the planned end date of the last operation on the work order.
- If the work order is a node in the structure, the structure start date
will be updated with the start date of the first work order in the structure
below this node.
- Similarly, the structure completion date will be updated with the
completion date of the last work order in the structure below this node.

Procedure
- In the scheduling client click Database Save.
- In the Save Schedule dialog box, select the Save
Schedule and Release Server option if the database lock should be
released after saving. Select the Save Schedule option if it should
still remain locked.
- Click OK.
