Create Calculation Function

Explanation

Use this activity to create a calculation function in a calculation column. Create a calculation function to define functions for revaluation of an amount in one currency into an amount in another currency by using defined currency rates. The function can then be used in a calculation column. The functions are unique within each column template. This facility makes it possible to produce company group consolidation reports in an optional currency, as well as revaluation reports for balances in foreign currencies.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to create a calculation function:

  1. Open Column Template and find the column template, including the calculation column.
  2. Select the Calculation Function operation via the right mouse button. This opens Calculation Function.
  3. Use the new function. Default values appear in the fields Function Type, Year Reference, Period Reference, and Conversion Factor.
  4. Specify values for Function Name and Description.
  5. Specify the other fields.
  6. Save the information.
