Allow Scrap

Explanation

This activity is used to change the status of an active rotable pool fixed asset object to the Allow Scrap status. Fixed asset objects with the Allow Scrap status can be scrapped or the status can be changed back to Active.

Prerequisites

Active rotable pool fixed asset objects should exist.

System Effects

The status of the fixed asset object will be changed to Allow Scrap.

Procedure

1. Right-click on the fixed asset object and then click Allow Scrap. The Allow Scrap dialog box will be displayed.
2. Click List and select the availability control ID.
3. Click OK.

To change the status back to Active:

1. Select the fixed asset object with the Allow Scrap status.
2. Right-click and then click Disallow Scrap. The FA Status field will change to Active.
