Enter Planning Information

Explanation

This activity is used to enter planning information for an object. Planning information is entered for objects before they are acquired. You are required to carry out this activity at the time of entering a new object if the object type of the new object being entered is Planned.

Prerequisites

In order to enter planning information for an object, the object status must be either Planned or Investment.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, it would be possible to create a depreciation plan for the object.

Procedure

1. Open the Object window and search for the object for which you want to enter planning information.
2. Select the Planning Info tab and enter the planned amount to be spent to acquire the object in the Planned Acquisition Value field.
3. In the Date field, enter the date on which you plan to acquire the object. The date entered must be a date within the time period for which the object is valid.
4. Save the information.
