Connect Hazards to Risk Assessment

Explanation

This activity is used to specify the hazards that should be evaluated during the risk assessment.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, hazards are required to be already defined in the Risk Assessment Basic Data/Hazards tab.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the hazards you create will be updated on the Hazards navigator.

Procedure

  1. Open the Risk Assessment window.
  2. Search or populate to find the required risk assessment.
  3. Go to the Risk Assessment/Hazards tab and create a new record.
  4. Specify the hazard in the Hazard field. You can select a value using the list.

    To calculate the risk potential for each hazard;
     
  5. In the Frequency of Occurrence field, enter an option to specify how frequently the risk may occur. Select a value from the list. The frequency value shows in the Frequency Value field.
  6. In the Maximum Severity field, enter the maximum severity. Select a value from the list. The severity value shows in the Maximum Severity Value field.
  7. Save the information. Note that the risk potential is calculated and shown in the Risk Potential field.
