Inventory Part/Costs /Inventory Value

[To Maintain Inventory] [About Inventory Valuation Methods and Cost Levels]

Usage

Use this window to view or change data concerning costs and inventory value. It displays the configurations, serial numbers, lot batch numbers, inventory value and condition code(s) of the part, based on several factors. These factors include:

The * (asterisk) value will be displayed in the Lot Batch No and Serial No fields when Inventory Part Cost Level, Cost per part, is used.

For parts using the Inventory Valuation Method, Weighted Average, the table area displays the weighted inventory value of the parts currently in inventory regardless the cost level used.

A separate row is displayed for each separate condition combination. For example, each serial part in inventory will be displayed on a separate line, and each can have a distinct inventory value and its own condition code. Lot batch tracked parts can have only one condition code specified per lot batch. This means that a single row will be displayed, with an inventory value calculated based on all parts in inventory with the same part number/lot batch number combination. For parts that are both lot batch and serial tracked, separate lines will be displayed, each showing the lot batch number, serial number, and the specified condition code. The inventory value for these parts is linked to the serial number, rather than to the lot batch number.
