Tax Withholding/Reporting/Supplier Income Type

[About 1099 Reporting] (United States specific)

Usage

Use this tab window to define supplier income types. A supplier income type identifies the category of income each invoice line from the supplier represents, e.g., miscellaneous income, rents, or royalties. This information is used to report and/or withhold taxes. In the United States, this is known as Form 1099 tax reporting and withholding.

Income types and descriptions are defined per country in the Enterprise/Tax/Income Types window. By default, only U.S. income types, which correspond with IRS definitions of 1099 types, are installed. Income types used in other countries must be defined manually before you connect them to specific suppliers. You can define a supplier threshold amount for each supplier income type, which overrides the global threshold amount.
