Procedure

  1. In the Comparator group box, select the first part to be compared in the Part No list box.
  2. In the Comparatee group box, select the second part to be compared in the Part No list box.
  3. Click All to view all components in both structures. You must compare the structures to see the differences.
  4. Click Equal to see the components that are identical in both structures. To qualify as identical, the components must be the same part and have the same quantities per assembly in the structures in the same site.
  5. Click Difference to see the components that differ between the structures, i.e., the components that exist in one structure but not in the other. Some of the parts that are shown as different may be the same part but have different quantities per assembly. If the component site is different, then the window considers the component to be different even if the part number and quantity per assembly are the same.
  6. Click Tree to see the results from the all, equal, or difference functions in a tree structure.
