Cancel Distribution Order

Explanation

Distribution orders no longer supposed to be executed can be cancelled. It's done by using the Cancel right mouse button option. A distribution order can be cancelled until the pick list is created. Planned distribution orders cannot be cancelled, but are deleted.

When an order has been cancelled, it receives the Cancelled status, and no further transactions can be performed. Reason for canceling can be entered at the time of cancellation.

Prerequisites

• The distribution order must have been entered and released before you can cancel the order.
• A pick list must not have been created for the order. 

System Effects

• The status will be changed to Cancelled, and further transactions cannot be performed.
• If the order was reserved, this transaction will delete the reservations.

Procedure

1. Query for the appropriate order.
2. Select the order, right-click and then click Cancel.
3. If appropriate, select a cancellation reason.
4. Click OK.
