Copy Bays from Warehouse

Explanation

This activity is used when the warehouse structure and the attributes of the bays of a warehouse can be reused on other warehouse(s). This is beneficial when you want to use the same warehouse structure on different warehouses. You can use one warehouse as a template for creating the structure on the other warehouses.

Prerequisites

• The destination warehouse must be entered.
• The warehouse with the required warehouse structure to copy from, must be entered.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, bays, rows, tiers and bins from a selected warehouse are copied to the destination warehouse. Only the objects that do not exist on the destination warehouse are copied. Locations created get a location number equal to its location sequence number.

Procedure

1. Open the Warehouse Navigator window and populate or search for the relevant site.
2. The graphical structure of the warehouse will be displayed in the left side of the window.
3. Click the Warehouses tab. Select the destination warehouse(s) and then right-click and then click Copy Bays from Warehouse.
4. In the Copy Bays from Warehouse dialog box that appears, enter the warehouse from which you need to copy the structure or select one from the List of Values.
5. Click OK.
