Copy Bins from Tier

Explanation

This activity is used when the warehouse structure and attributes of bins on a tier can be reused on other tier(s). This is beneficial when you want to use the same warehouse structure on different tiers. You can use one tier as a template for creating a warehouse structure for the other tiers.

Prerequisites

• Destination tier must be entered.
• The tier with a warehouse structure to copy from must be entered.

System Effects

Bins from the selected tier are copied to the destination tier(s) where this activity is performed. Only the objects that do not exist on the destination location are copied. The locations created get location numbers equal to its location sequence number.

Procedure

1. Open the Warehouse Navigator window and populate or search for the relevant site.
2. The graphical structure of the warehouse will be displayed in the left side of the window.
3. Expand the warehouse node and select the bay which contains the destination tier(s) to which the bins need to be copied.
4. Click the Tiers tab.
5. Select the destination tier(s) and then right-click and then click Copy Bins from Tier.
6. The Copy Bins from Tier dialog box will be opened.
7. Enter the tier from which you need to copy the bins or select from the List of Values.
8. Click OK.
