Copy Parts to Site

Explanation

Use this activity as a convenient method of copying parts from one site to another. You can either copy all of the parts in a site, or only parts within a certain commodity group. At a given time, copying can be done from one site to another single site.

This activity could be useful whenever new parts are introduced to the system. You can enter all the parts for one site, and then copy them to other sites using this dialog box.

Prerequisites

The specified sites and commodity group must already exist.

System Effects

All the parts are copied from one site to the other. (If you specify a commodity group, only those parts within that group will be copied).

Procedure

1. Open the Copy Parts to Site dialog box.
2. In the Site field in the From group box area, enter or select from the List of Values, the site from which you want to copy the parts.
3. Enter the commodity group 2 from which you want to select the parts, in the Comm. Group 2 field. If this field is left blank, all parts at the site will be copied.
4. In the Site field in the To group box area, enter or select from the list of values, site to which the parts will be copied.
5. Click OK to copy the parts.
