Copy Warehouses from Site

Explanation

This activity is used when the warehouse structure and attributes of warehouses on one site can be reused on another site. This is beneficial when you have to use the same warehouse structure on different sites. You can use one site as a template for creating the warehouse structure on other sites.

Prerequisites

• Destination site must be entered.
• The site with the warehouse structure to copy from, must be entered.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the warehouses, bays, rows, tiers and bins connected to specified site are created on destination site. Only objects that do not exist on destination location are copied. Locations created get location number equal to location sequence number.

Copy Warehouses from Site

Procedure

1. Open the Warehouse Navigator window and search for the relevant site to which to you need to copy the warehouse structure .
2. The graphical structure of the warehouse will be displayed in the left side of the window.
3. Right-Click on the General tab and then click Copy Warehouses from Site.
4. In the Copy Warehouses from Site dialog box that opens up enter the site from which you need to copy the structure or select the site from the List of Values.
5. Click OK.
