Define Storage Capabilities

Explanation

Use this activity to define storage capabilities that can be used both to define what a location is capable of handling, as well as what an inventory part can require from a location when it comes to storage. Examples of storage capabilities could be security class or the capability to store explosive or flammable goods.

For locations, the storage capabilities can be defined to a certain location but can also be defined for a level in the warehouse navigator and inherited to all locations within that level.

For inventory parts, the requirement for storage capabilities can be defined for a certain inventory part but can also be defined for a part catalog record or for a storage capability group of parts.
