Indicate the Level of Automatic Consolidation

Explanation

Use this activity to define the level of consolidation to be used for transport tasks parts at your site. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

The automatic consolidation can be defined for some different levels:

Type Description
By Part Consolidation can be done for all parts, for a specific part or per specific configuration.
By Source Consolidation can be done regardless of the source of the transport, per order ref1 or for the full order reference.
By From Location Consolidation for the from location on the transport task can be done for any of the levels in the warehouse structure.
By To Location Consolidation for the to location on the transport task can be done for any of the levels in the warehouse structure.

In addition to the setup of consolidation levels, it is also possible to define the maximum number of pallets that should be allowed on a transport task during automatic consolidation.

Procedure

  1. Open the Site window.
  2. Search for the site whose default value you wish to define.
  3. On the Extended Site Info/Inventory/Transport Task tab, in the different options for automatic consolidation lists, click the default valuation method to use for the site.
  4. Optionally, enter the maximum number of pallets to be added to a transport task during the automatic consolidation.
  5. Save the changes.
