Enter Pallet Types
Explanation
This activity is used to create and maintain pallet types for existing freight
pallets. This task is to be performed by a system administrator or
an equivalent person.
You must also enter the weight of the pallet.
Pallet types are available when you define the freight
information for sales parts and also when you manually add handling units to a
shipment. Handling units consist of a pallet and specified
package units, which in turn can consist of a specified number of parts. When a
particular pallet type is selected, the weight of the pallet is included in the
calculation of the total weight of the handling unit. This pallet information
can be used when planning load volumes and weights.
Prerequisites
There are no specific prerequisites.
