Set Default Location

Explanation

You can connect default locations to the inventory part. In this window, you can connect the following location types as default locations on the inventory part: picking, pallet delivery, floor stock, and production line.

Prerequisites

• The current location cannot be an inspection location, shipment location, or arrival location.
• A default location of the same location type for this part is not allowed to exist in the system. (You can check this in IFS/Inventory, Inventory Part/Default Locations.)
• The location to be connected to the inventory part must have been entered in Inventory Locations.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the default location is set and displayed in Inventory Part/Default Locations.

Procedure

1. In the lower part of the window, mark the line of the desired location.
2. In the Operations menu in the lower part of the window, select Default Location.
