Refresh Pre-Postings

Explanation

Use this activity when you want to refresh the pre-postings for a specific fixed asset (FA) object. When an individual is connected to an FA object, inventory transactions will be created. If the posting type needed for a fixed asset rotable pool has not been defined as described in the basic data requirements for a rotable pool, the transfer to IFS Financials of the transactions generated by connecting an individual to a FA object will generate errors. If this happens, the posting type M151 should be defined. Then you should use the Refresh Pre-Posting feature to complete the transfer of the inventory transactions to IFS Financials.

Prerequisites

• At least one FA object with an Investment or Import Allowed status must exist. The value in the Part Connection Established field must be Part Connection Established.
• The posting type needed to be able to use a fixed asset rotable part pool must be defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the transactions generated by connecting an individual to a FA object will be transferred to IFS Financials.

1. In the FA Objects tab, select the line for the appropriate FA object. Right-click and click Refresh Preposting.
