Swap FA Object

Explanation

Use this activity to swap the connection between two fixed asset (FA) objects IDs and the two connected individuals. If individual "A" is connected to FA object ID "A" and individual "B" is connected to FA object ID "B", then swapping individuals will result in individual "A" connected to FA object ID "B" and individual "B" connected to FA object ID "A". This will not generate any inventory transactions.

Prerequisites

• At least two FA objects with Active status must exist. At least one of these FA objects must be currently connected to an individual.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the connection between existing fixed asset objects and individuals in a fixed asset rotable pool will be changed.

Procedure

1. In the FA Objects tab, select the line for one of the FA objects that should be swapped. Right-click and click Swap Individuals to open the Swap Individuals window.
2. Enter an object ID in the lower part of the window. You can also use List of Values to select an object ID.
3. Click OK to complete the swap.
