You can use the system to report production activity in a Kanban circuit for subassemblies. To report a production receipt manually, use the Production Receipt window. To report production directly against a Kanban card, use the the Kanban Report Production Receipt dialog box. The system writes inventory transactions to record the goods receipt and launches backflush to consume any components against the currently active product structure for the item. In addition to the manual methods of production reporting, the system provides support for using external devices, such as a bar code reader, to enter the information electronically.
