Pick List
A pick list is created based on the shop order and the structure of the part. It shows
the inventory locations at which the parts will be picked.
The pick list contains all material to be used in manufacturing the shop order. It is
used as a basis for picking reserved material from inventory. The pick list does not imply
a physical reservation of parts, but the picker determines the locations at which the
parts are to be picked.
When printing a pick list for a project connected shop order the PPSA (PPSA -
Program, Project, Sub-project, Activity) information are included. For all lines
to be picked from project inventory the exact activity belonging is included on
the pick list.
Pick List Sections
The Pick List Report includes three distinct sections. Each is divided into a summary
section and two detail sections. Any combination of the three sections can be included in
a report.
- The summary section groups data by part. It is designed to display totals for all parts
to be picked, regardless of the shop order.
- The first detail section groups data by location and part. It is designed to present
data in a format most useful for the person picking the parts.
- The second detail section groups data by shop order and operation. It is designed to
simplify assembling all the parts required for each shop order operation.
