Add Clocking
Explanation
Use this activity to manually register a machine, labor, interruption or
indirect clocking record.
Prerequisites
- Shop order operations must have been entered.
- To register an interruption clocking at least one interruption cause
must have been entered in Interruption Causes window.
- To register an indirect clocking at least one indirect job must have
been entered in Indirect Jobs window. In the Site
window, the Report Mode must have been set to Employee and at
least one employee must have been entered in Manufacturing Labor Class
window.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity a new clocking record will be created or,
if started for a team clocking records for all team members will be created.
- As a result of this activity a new clocking record will be created.
- If a stop time has been entered a time result will be calculated.
- For machine and labor clockings an operation history will be created if
a stop time has been entered.
- For indirect clockings, an indirect history transaction will be created
if a stop time has been entered.

Procedure
Enter a new Labor Clocking:
- Right-click and click Add Labor Clocking.
- In the Operation ID field, use List of Values to select the
operation on which the time should be registered.
- In the Time Type field, choose whether the time should be
registered as setup or runtime.
- Enter the start time and optionally the stop time in Start Time
and Stop Time fields.
- If the site which to the operation belongs is run in anonymous reporting
mode a crew size must be entered.
- If the site to which the operation belongs is run in employee reporting mode, an employee must be
entered in the Employee field.
- If you want to start a clocking record for an entire team, enter a team
in the Team field and leave Employee and Stop Time
fields blank. Then clocking records will be created for all employees
currently in the team.
Note: It is not allowed to register an active team clocking record on
a specific employee since all employees in the team must run the same
operations. It is also not allowed to create a stopped clocking record for an
entire team since system only keeps track of the employees currently in the
team.
Enter a New Machine Clocking:
- Right-click and click Add Machine Clocking.
- In the Operation ID field, use List of Values to choose the
operation on which the time should be registered.
- In the Time Type field, choose whether the time should be
registered as setup or runtime.
- In the Resource ID field, use List of Values to choose the
resource on which the time should be registered.
- Enter the start time and optionally the stop time in Start Time
and Stop Time fields.
Enter a new Interruption Clocking:
- Right-click and click Add Interruption Clocking.
- In the Operation ID field, use List of Values to select the
operation on which the time should be registered.
- In the Interruption Cause field, use list of value to choose the
cause of the interruption.
- In the Resource ID field, use List of Values to select the
resource on which the time should be registered.
- Enter the start time and optionally the stop time in Start Time
and Stop Time fields.
Enter New Indirect Clocking:
- Right-click and click Add Indirect Clocking.
- In the Site field, use List of Values to select the site on which
the time should be registered.
- In the Indirect Job field, use List of Values to select the
indirect job on which the time should be registered.
- In the Employee field, enter the employee on whom the time should
be registered.
- If applicable enter a team that the time should be registered on.
