Print and Deploy Kanban Cards

Explanation

Use this activity to print Kanban cards and track their deployment to the shop floor. The system indicates whether or not a card has been printed. It also indicates the number of times it has printed each card. The status of each card shows whether or not it is in circulation, which helps you manage the deployment of the card. It is also possible to upload the relevant part image to be printed on the card and supported file types for the browsing image will be .gif, .tiff, .png, .jpg and .bmp.

Prerequisites

This activity requires the existence of at least one card that is not already in circulation.

System Effects

As a result of this activity Kanban cards are printed for the Kanban circuit. The system updates the Kanban print flag to Printed, if it does not already have this value. It also increases the value in the Number Times Printed field.

Procedure

Select the Kanban cards that you want to print.
In the Kanban Circuit window, right-click and then click Print Cards for Circuit. Alternatively, in the Cards tab of the Kanban Circuit window or in the Kanban Cards window, right-click and then click Print Selected Kanban Card(s). The Print Kanban Card(s) dialog box appears.
Select the check boxes as appropriate. If you select Deploy Cards, the status of the selected cards changes to In Circulation.
Click OK to print the cards.
