Mark Structure Component as Not Present

Explanation

This activity is used to remove a structure component that was not present in the actual structure received to the repair  from the new as-built structure created after the repair.

Prerequisites

Multilevel repair shop order must exist with the parent part in Reserved or Issued state.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the component marked as Not Present will not be added in the new as-built structure. Since there is no existing component, there will be no inventory transactions as well.

Component Replacement Details

Procedure

  1. Open the Shop Order window and query for your multilevel repair shop order.
  2. Make sure that the state of the parent material line is Reserved or Issued.
  3. Open the Multilevel Repair Structure tab.
  4. Select the top part from the graphical tree structure, right-click and then click Expand Descendents.
  5. Select the revision node of the parent part in which you want to mark a component as not present.
  6. Right-click and then click Component Replacement to open the Component Replacement Details dialog box with the parent part you selected in the header as the parent part.
  7. Select the component line you wish to mark as not present and then change the Repair Action to Not Present.
  8. Enter the repair reason for the structure changes. Here you can get the List of Values.
  9. Click Apply or OK.
