Procedure
- Open the Project MS Basic Data window
and click the Project MS Default Settings tab.
- In the Active list, select Part Active
if you want planning for the part to be handled by project MS. If you select
Part Not Active it will be handled entirely by project material requirements
planning (PMRP).
- In the Roll list, select Rolled up
if you want the first master schedule proposal for the part after the
planning time fence to be adjusted, based on the quantity on-hand
development between the current date and the planning time fence.
- In the Gen Fixed MS list, select Create
Fixed MS Rcpt if you want to convert a master scheduling (MS) proposal
for the part into a fixed master schedule when it falls within the planning
time fence. If you select Not Create MS Rcpt the proposal will be
deleted when the planning time fence is passed.
- In the Create S/P Req list, select
Create S/P Req if you want shop order requisitions and purchase order
requisitions to be created for fixed MS proposals within the planning time
fence.
- In the Unconsumed Forecast Disposition
list, select Roll out if you want any unconsumed forecasts for the
part to be rolled out into the first work day after the demand time fence.
If you select Drop, any unconsumed forecasts will not be rolled out.
- In the Forecast Consumption Window field,
enter the number of days that define the range within which the forecast can be
consumed by actual demand.
- Select the Create Project MS Supply check
box if you want planning for this part to be handled by project MS instead of PMRP.
Demands for the part, however, can still consume the forecast quantity.
