Create Corrective and Preventive Action

Explanation

Use this step to create a Corrective Action that is related to the NCR. A Corrective Action that is related to a NCR is made for eliminating the root cause of why the NCR occurred.

Prerequisites

To be able to carry out this step, a NCR in the Planned, Released or In Progress status is needed.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a corrective action that is related to a NCR is created.

Procedure

1. In the Non Conformance Report window, click the Action tab.
2. In the table under the Corrections area, select a record, right-click and then click Create Corrective Action. A corrective action line is created in the table under the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) area. It is also possible to right-click in the header and select Create Corrective Action, to create a corrective action that is related to the specific NCR.
3. Click Save. The status of the corrective and preventive action line changes to Created.
4. To manage and view the corrective and preventive action, right-click on the corrective and preventive action line and then click Corrective Action Detail.
