Evaluate Effectiveness and Close Action

Explanation

This activity is used to evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action, and is usually done when a specified amount of time is elapsed since the corrective and preventive action has been verified as completed.

Prerequisites

A corrective and preventive action in the Verified status should exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the status of the corrective and preventive action changes to Closed.

Procedure

1. In the Effectiveness Notes field, under the Effectiveness Details area in the Corrective and Preventive Action window, enter an appropriate note. Entering a value in this field is mandatory.
2. Click Save.
3. Right-click and then click Evaluate Effectiveness. The status of the corrective and preventive action record changes to Closed. The system generates a time stamp for the effectiveness evaluation date as well as for the person who made the system state change.
