Copy Job Program

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new job program by copying an existing job program. You cannot copy job programs that belong to different sites. 

Note: You can only use this activity to create new job programs, and not to create new job program revisions. Job program revisions are created using the Create New Revision for Job Program dialog box.

Prerequisites

• A job program should exist in the system. 
• The standard jobs connected to the existing job program revision should have active revisions in order to be connected to the new job program revision.  

System Effects

• A new job program will be created, including the connections to standard jobs (if applicable).
• The new job program will receive the Preliminary status.

Procedure

1. Open the Job Program window, and query for the job program you want to copy (F3).
2. Right-click on the header of the window and then click Copy Job Program. The Copy Job Program dialog box opens, and the details of the existing job program will be displayed in the Copy From area.
3. Enter a new job program ID and a revision (the revision is set to 1 by default) in the Copy To area.
4. Click OK.
