Enter Criteria for Calendar Generation
Explanation
Use this activity to enter criteria required for calendar-based generation of PM
actions that will occur at regular intervals. When you create a PM Plan, you have several alternatives to
specify start date, interval, and unit of measure.
Prerequisites
- Work time calendars should be defined (and the
calendar set to the Generated status) in IFS/Application Services.
- The PM action should be either in the Preliminary or Active
status (Note: Changes can only be made to Active PM actions where work orders have not been generated).
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a calendar PM Plan for a specified criteria will be
created in the
Maintenance Plan tab.

Procedure
- Open the Separate PM Action or Route PM Action
window, create a new record (F5) or query for an existing one (F3).
- Click the
General tab.
- In the Start Value field, enter the time when you want the PM action to
go into effect.
- In the Start Unit field, select the unit of time by which the PM action
is to start, e.g., day, week.
- In the Interval field, enter the interval at which the maintenance is to
be done.
- In the Interval Unit field, select the unit of measure for the time
interval.
- In the Valid From and Valid To fields,
enter the time range for which the PM action will be valid. The fields can
be used to limit the effectiveness of the PM action.
- In the Calendar field, enter a suitable
calendar for the PM action. Use the List of Values to select a suitable
value. The PM plan lines will be generated in accordance with the calendar
connected.
- Save the information.
