Replace Obsolete Standard Job revisions 

Explanation

Use this activity to replace obsolete standard job revisions that are connected to the PM action, with active revisions. You can either replace the revisions individually process it in batches.

Note: It is also possible to view a summary of the registered separate and route PM actions and work orders, that have connections to obsolete Standard jobs, to do so right-click on the Standard Jobs, Separate Standard Jobs or Route Standard Jobs windows and click Obsolete Revisions on PM Actions or Obsolete Revisions on Active Work Orders. The right mouse button options will only be available for the active standard job revision and not for individual obsolete standard job revisions.

Prerequisites

• A connection between the obsolete standard job revision and the PM action must exist.
• An active revision of the obsolete standard job revision must exist in the system.
• The connected PM action must be in the Preliminary or Active status. 

System Effects

As a result of this activity, all occurrences of the relevant obsolete standard job revision, which is connected to the PM Action, will be replaced with the active standard job revisions.

Procedure

1. Open either the Separate Standard Job or Route Standard Job windows and query for an active revision (F3).
2. Right-click and then click Replace Obsolete Revisions on PM Actions. (This option will be available only when an obsolete connection exists.)

To replace the revisions in batches:

1. Open the Replace Obsolete Standard Jobs on PM Actions dialog box. Change the value in the Site field if required and click OK. Alternatively you can click Default display the default values defined by your administrator in Database Tasks.
2. Optionally click Schedule and follow the steps in the wizard that appears if you wish to schedule the task as a background job run automatically at predefined intervals.
