Import Consolidation File - Parent Company

Explanation

Use this activity to import a file with consolidation information. If the subsidiary and the parent company keep accounts in different databases, the subsidiary can create the consolidation information to a file. The file can then be retrieved in the parent company.

Prerequisites

Before importing a consolidation file, the following must have been completed:

As a result the Balance Transferred check box or Budget Transferred check box will be selected in the Parent Consolidations window.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to retrieve consolidation information from a file:

  1. Open the Parent Consolidations window.
  2. Right-click and then click Import Subsidiary Consolidation File. This will open the Consolidation File Name dialog box.
  3. Enter the name of the file containing the consolidation information.
  4. Click OK.
