Actions for Order

Explanation

Use this activity to do actions that MRP propose for a specific purchase order line or shop order. It is possible to do actions for MRP Messages like Early Order, Late Order, Remove Order, Supply is Past Due, Min Order Qty > Lot Size, Order > Max Lot Size, Order After Horizon and Order Not Multiple.

In the upper part of the dialog box, there is information about the MRP proposal and planning data for the part.

In the middle part of the dialog box, there is information about the shop order or the purchase order line.

In the lower part of the dialog box, you can enter an action note, and the note will be visible for the order until the purchase order line is cancelled or closed.

Click OK to save your changes and go back to the MRP Action Proposals window or MRP Action Proposals Workbench window. Click Cancel to go back to the MRP Action Proposals window or MRP Action Proposals Workbench window. Click Apply to save your changes and stay in the same dialog box. Click Navigate to open the particular Purchase Order window or the Shop Order window.

Prerequisites

This activity requires populating the MRP Action Proposals window or MRP Action Proposals Workbench window, selecting one row at a time via the right click option.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the follow up menu should bring Action for Shop Order window for the relevant orders in which the MRP messages are like Early Order, Late Order, Remove Order, Supply is Past Due, Min Order Qty > Lot Size, Order > Max Lot Size, Order After Horizon and Order Not Multiple.

Procedure

  1. Populate the MRP Action Proposals window.
  2. Select a record where the MRP Message is either late, early or remove order.
  3. Right-click and then click Action for Order.
  4. The Action for Shop Order window opens
  5. Or

  1. Populate the MRP Action Proposals Workbench window and click the Purchased Parts or Manufactured Parts tab.
  2. Select a record where the MRP Message is either late, early or remove order.
  3. Right-click and then click Action for Order
  4. The Action for Shop Order window opens

Then take necessary actions which suites to resolve the situation which is indicated by the MRP action message.
